Strive Scholarships
Strive Scholarships is SGCH’s annual education program providing money for educational and extra-curricular costs. The scholarship money can be used to pay for things such as school fees, stationery, computers, extra-curricular activities and more.
Applications for Strive Tertiary Scholarships open every year from 1 March to 31 March.
Applications for Kindergarten to Year 12 students open every year from 1 October to 31 October.
Since 2006 SGCH has supported students through our scholarship program, helping thousands to achieve their educational goals.
Strive Scholarships happen in two rounds each year, one for Kindergarten to Year 12 students, and the other for Tertiary students.
Strive Scholarships provide money for educational and extra-curricular costs based on the student’s level of study, shown in the table below.
The scholarship money can be used to pay for things like school fees, stationery, computers or extra-curricular activities.

| High School Year 7 to 12 | $1000 | Applications round: 1-31 October each year | Notified of outcome by January the following year. |
| Tertiary education Uni, college and TAFE | $1500 | Applications round: 1-31 March each year | Notified of outcome by June. |
How can I apply?
To be eligible the student must:
- Be a current household member of an SGCH property
- Have been a tenant of SGCH for three months
- Not be in arrears or debt with SGCH
All applications are submitted online.
Applications for Kindergarten to Year 12 students are open every year from 1 October to 31 October and applicants are notified of the outcome by January of the following year.
Applications for Tertiary students (Uni/TAFE/college) are open every year from 1 March to 31 March and applicants are notified of the outcome by June.
