Bonnyrigg’s new community hub building is open and expressions of interest are being sought by Fairfield City Council for organisations that may wish to be based there.
The building has a large hall that can comfortably accommodate up to 150 people for functions. It has an accessible commercial kitchen (where cooking classes will one day be held), meeting spaces catering to between six and 80 people, audiovisual technology, a fully accessible bathroom and a water play area for children.
There is also a large community garden attached that will no doubt become a meeting point for green thumbed residents and those wanting to learn to garden.
Fairfield City Council is managing bookings for the community hub via its website, fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au.
