Changes to your water bill
St George Community Housing (SGCH) has changed how you will receive your water usage bills.
To date, you have received an SGCH bill for your water use, plus a copy of the Sydney Water bill we have been sent for your property.
There is no requirement for us to send you both these bills and we know that many of our customers find this confusing. To make things simpler, from now on we will now only send you the SGCH invoice for your water use each quarter.
The additional Sydney Water bill, which you used to receive with your SGCH bill, will no longer be included. However, if you’d like an electronic copy of the Sydney Water bill you can still request one.
Who do I pay my water bill to?
Because SGCH is your landlord, you must continue to pay SGCH for your water use within 21 days of receiving your water invoice. There are a number of ways you can make a payment and these are all listed on your bill. Please note that you do not pay Sydney Water for your water use. If you are paying your water bill by Centrepay or Direct Debit, please ensure you use your bank agent number and write a reference, for example, “water bill”.
Can I still see a copy of the Sydney Water bill SGCH receives?
You can ask us for a copy of the bill we receive from Sydney Water for your property. Speak to your Tenancy Manager or call 1800 573 370.
What should I do if I have trouble paying my water invoice?
If you are having problems paying your water bill, please call 1800 573 370 and we will direct you to a team member who can discuss an affordable repayment plan with you.
