In August, Homes NSW obtained development approval for the next phase of development (Stages 12 and 13) of the Bonnyrigg Estate renewal project.
Traders In Purple, the group partnering with Homes NSW to develop the Humphries Precinct, is making good progress with civil works in stages 8 to 11 and is currently constructing new homes in stage 7B. Homes NSW is planning the next stages (12 and 13) and anticipates development approval for early works in the second half of 2024.
One excellent suggestion made at a Bonnyrigg Community Reference Group meeting was to have all local services listed in one easily accessible spot. The team at SGCH thought this was a great idea and created a fridge magnet designed to help you work out who to contact when you have an enquiry or an emergency.
In April, Bonnyrigg Youth Collective hosted a fantastic Youth Games event in Tarlington Park. Organised as part of NSW Youth Week, there was a giant inflatable obstacle course to enjoy, plus some awesome games and prizes.

Members of the local Aboriginal community gathered outside SGCH’s Bonnyrigg office for the opening of the Yellamundy Memorial Garden, showcasing the names of the Aboriginal families who have shaped Bonnyrigg into the thriving community it is today.
With SGCH’s support, the students at Bonnyrigg Public School illustrated and produced six beautiful books, creating the first-ever Darug language teaching resource.
Traders In Purple is delivering Canvas at Bonnyrigg, the next phase in the redevelopment of the Bonnyrigg Estate (stages 8 to 11). This precinct is being completed in two stages (an artist’s impression of the streetscape is shown).
