The Bonnyrigg Youth Council (BYC) are excited to be back face to face with the community and working together in Bonnyrigg on many different projects that we look forward to sharing with everyone. In the coming months we have many things planned for both our BYC team and the local community.

In September BYC helped at the multicultural event “The World In One Place” which promoted the cultural diversity in our area. We also held a BBQ and recruitment stall at the event.

BYC members are also taking part in event management training. This will allow us to learn event planning skills and really help us plan future projects and activities. We are also very excited to announce that we were successful in our grant application for our annual leadership camp in 2023.

The camp is a great opportunity for new and old BYC members to get to know each other, have some fun and plan for the coming year. As our Chairperson, Andrew, says “BYC gets you out of your comfort zone and out of the house.”
