On 8 September the Bonnyrigg community joined together to celebrate RUOK? Day with a picnic lunch in Bunker Park.
Local police from the Fairfield City PAC and Highway Patrol joined in on the day, giving presentations on issues important to the community like crime prevention and traffic issues, before going on to spend time getting to know some of the residents, kicking around a football, taking a photo and having a chat, which is what RU OK? Day is all about.
SGCH Bonnyrigg’s Arabic, Assyrian, Khmer, and Vietnamese language groups were also present on the day, and it was great to see people of all different cultural backgrounds come together to recognise such an important cause and reinforce the compassion, and kindness within the Bonnyrigg Community.
