In August, Homes NSW obtained development approval for the next phase of development (Stages 12 and 13) of the Bonnyrigg Estate renewal project. These stages are adjacent and behind Bonnyrigg Plaza and Bonnyrigg Public School. This approval is for early works, comprising the construction of a new road linking Bonnyrigg Avenue to Tarlington Parade, and for the creation of four new super lots for future development. The new super lots will consist of apartment buildings, which is consistent with the approved concept plan. The approval also allows for three new lots, which will enable the delivery of public open spaces for residents.
Homes NSW is obtaining further approvals before road construction can commence. Works are forecast to begin in early to mid-2025.
